All friends are welcome at Lil Monsters Playground

We are proud to serve the autism community, and strive to make your experience warm and positive

What to expect

We know how helpful video modeling can be to help set expectations and answer any questions in advance of your visit. We’ve provided the below video for you as a resource, which shows the journey of a child arriving at the playground, going through check-in, and observing some safety rules.

Playground-specific communication boards

We are happy to provide an alternate form of communication for our friends with autism—simply ask the Monster Wrangler working to borrow one of our communication boards when you arrive! You can also review the board in advance with your child, which is available here.

Social stories for safety rules

We have signs displayed around the playground using the “first, then” concept, combined with real photos of actual scenarios. We know this make safety rules easier to understand and follow.
